Uffington Community Cafe
Welcome to the Uffington Community Cafe, located in the picturesque village of Uffington Oxfordshire. Near famous landmarks such as the Uffington White Horse, ancient Ridgeway National Trail, and tranquil countryside of the Thames Valley and North Wessex Downs. The pop-up cafe is open most Saturdays and is also open monthly on a Sunday for the Farmers Market.
There’s a warm welcome for all who would like to sample the cafe’s delights. From walkers, cyclists, tourists, local people and people just passing through. There is always good food and drink on offer.
Visitors benefit from a large free car park, fabulous playground and sports field outside for kids with easy access for wheelchairs etc into the cafe. Therefore the cafe is an excellent start or end point for a great day out.
Great Food and Drink With a Friendly Relaxing Atmosphere
The Cafe is located in the Thomas Hughes Memorial Hall Uffington and serves hot and cold drinks, cream teas, cakes, bakes, hot and cold sandwiches, light lunches, homemade warming soup in the winter and weekly specials. There are always mouth-watering cakes and bacon sandwiches available! There’s also free fruit for children when accompanied by a paying adult.
All cakes, bakes, sandwiches and other foods served, are lovingly homemade from fresh ingredients using the finest recipes. Locally sourced and seasonal ingredients set the theme for many items on the menu. Because of this, people travel from miles around to try the quality wholesome cakes, food and drink.
Chris Higgs runs the Cafe and produces the majority of the fine baking and cooking. Chris is also assisted by Victoria Packford and with the help of efficient cheery and enthusiastic staff, fine food, and great location, the Uffington Community Cafe is one of the best places in the area to have a coffee, relaxing tea and cake or whatever takes your fancy from the weekly menu on offer.
